its cheap and flimsy, arrived broken but still functional, hard to put thin paper in it, let alone card stock. wouldn't recommendA while back I had a paper cutter similar to this that broke after a fair amount of use, so I assumed this would be basically the same thing... I was wrong! This cutter is SO MUCH BETTER.There are several design features that make this an effective and intuitive way to cut paper with a high degree of accuracy. What I like best, however, is how the guide that holds the paper down is hinged. This help you load and align the paper or photo you wish to cut carefully before locking it into place. In addition to several rulers etched into the plastic body of this cutter, there are also raised guides at the bottom and a depression where the cut will be made that help you get whatever you are cutting into the precise position you want it.You can clearly see where the cut will be made before you fold the guide down;after which, you simply slide the cutting blade along its track. The cuts I have been getting are clean, even, and exactly where I want them to be.The cutting process requires very little force and is ideal for a wide range of paper. You can use this for photos, scrap booking, card making, etc...After using this for a few days, I would recommend it without hesitation. For the modest price tag you get a very smart design that will help you make very precise cuts on a wide range of paper types with ease. The plastic that lifts up will break so easily even if it’s dropped 2 inches off the ground. It’s ridiculous. No assembly required. works great on cutting vinyl and paperThe best I have used for a while, easy to use and accurateThis is awful, can’t even cut through standard paper, as your cutting it the paper starts to fold up and just rip. Will be returning and I can’t recommend to anyone! The blade is stiff in some place but overall works very well for the purpose!
